“Terry Mackner’s music inspires compassion and inspiration and can lead to a more unified world.” — Up North Media

Singer-songwriter Terry Mackner infuses smooth Country vocals and sweet harmonies into modern, and pop country music - creating a unique brand of conscious music that uplifts and inspires.

Born in the early 70's and raised amidst the 80’s – in the hometown of the legendary professional NFL player Adam Thielen of the Minnesota Vikings, Terry had a variety of musical influences from different genre's growing up.  Terry's role models were performers like Garth Brooks, George Strait, Sawyer Brown, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Clay Walker, Brooks & Dunn, David Lee Murphy, Mark Wills, Colin Raye, but nobody was more influential on Terry than his Grandma Viola Seward.  He watched his grandma play and sing for many years.  Viola passed away years ago, but Terry dedicates every show to her and vows that every show he plays is special for him because it was Viola who inspired him to play and sing.

Terry’s talent as a songwriter began to take off when he moved to a very small farm in Minnesota.  Living in a small town of 100 people and no sounds but the crickets outside and no traffic driving by he began to craft his songwriting.  He will tell you that he still has a long way to go to be where he wants to be and is always working at bettering himself.  – ‘She Looks Good,' which was produced by John Johnson at TUNE DESIGNER in Covington, GE and co-produced by Terry was his first original single written by Terry to be released to the public.  The single blew up in the United Kingdom.  It climbed the charts on an Independent Radio show and got to #9 on NashVegas in Nashville, TN. Since then, he has released a total of three single and all three have topped the top 5 in the United Kingdom.  “She Looks Good”, “You’re an Angel to Me”, and “Let’s Be Lazy” have been a blessing to Terry.  He is just enjoying the ride wherever it takes him.  He is not in it for the fame or a record deal, he is in it to get his original music heard hoping it inspires others to follow their dreams.

Terry is always working on writing new material.  Watch for all his new music coming out soon.  He hopes that his music inspires others as it has done for him over the years.

Other surprise collaborators include Greg Roberts and Mike Foerster with producer John Johnson of TUNE DESIGNER working together on “Let’s Be Lazy”.

Terry thrills the crowd with his charisma and vocal bravado, infusing Modern Country, Country Pop, Rock, and a little bit of Christian gospel with traditional Country to round off his high energy show.  He will make you leave wanting more.  “Heather Olson of Minnesota Music News”

Terry’s live performances and his Album Single releases earned him nominations at the Josie Music Awards in Pigeon Forge, TN.  This is the biggest international independent music award show in the world.  He was nominated in 2019 and 2020 for a total of 5 nominations.  Terry has also performed on the Grand Ole Opry Stage where some of the biggest stars have played.  He has performed the National Anthem at many professional events such as Boxing, Rodeo’s, and MLB for the Minnesota Twins.

Since touring the Midwest, Terry has shared the stage with country greats like Jason Aldean, Jon Pardi, Montgomery Gentry, Travis Tritt, Toby Keith, Mark Chesnutt, Sawyer Brown and so many more…

Terry has performed shows to some very great charities such as Children’s Network, and Roger Maris Cancer Center in North Dakota.  Charities is were the heart is at.  There are so many charities out there but the two that stand out to him the most are The Children’s Network and The Roger Maris Cancer Center.  Terry’s Dad passed away from Cancer in 1997
